Bell spoils LG plans by announcing the Eye

LG is keeping mum on the launch of its Optimus LTE smartphone in Canada, going as far as telling MobileSyrup that is has no information regarding this. A demonstration video from electronics retailer The Source indicates otherwise, however, with the handset due out at Bell, who owns The Source. It will be called the Eye, however, and due to arrive sometime in November.

The Eye has class-leading specs beyond just the LTE-based 4G, including a 4.5-inch, 1280x720 touchscreen, a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, and an eight-megapixel camera with 1080p video recording capability. Its 10.4mm thick body houses an 1,830mAh battery. Android 2.3 will be preloaded.

The handset's price and other details are yet to be announced, however.
