PSP goes out in US with FIFA bundle on November 15

Sony gave the PSP one last bundle in the US on Monday to keep sales going until the PlayStation Vita arrives in February. The new pack includes the regular PSP-3000, a UMD-based copy of EA's FIFA 12 for soccer fans, and a code coupon to download a digital version of the Disney/Pixar Cars 2 game. A 2GB Memory Stick Pro Duo is in the box as well and provides just enough space to save games for most titles.

The PSP itself is the familiar black model with Wi-Fi.

At $160, the bundle is more expensive than the $130 base but costs less than it would take just to buy the PSP and Cars 2 separately. Stores should stock the bundle on November 15.

With the bundle likely to last through at least the holidays and the Vita due to arrive on February 22, Sony may not have another bundle of the kind for some time. Sony usually keeps older PlayStations on the market for a few years after the new version arrives to catch budget buyers, but that model hasn't been tested with handhelds. The Vita is more expensive at $250.
