Transform Ultra QWERTY slider confirmed by Sprint

The Samsung Transforum Ultra has now been confirmed for Sprint. Originally only available at Boost Mobile, the smartphone gets a 3.5-inch touchscreen along with a slide-out hardware QWERTY keyboard. It is powered by a 1GHz processor and has 512MB of RAM, while Android 2.3 comes stock.

The device otherwise uses a three-megapixel rear camera and a front-facing VGA camera. Users can download the carrier's Sprint ID customizable user interface and their packs which include ringtones, wallpapers, and widgets. Stereo Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS round out the features. Storage is through a microSD memory card slot, with a 2GB card already in the box.

Despite the announcement, Sprint hasn't revealed a specific ship date nor price for the Transform Ultra. Boost Mobile, a prepaid carrier, offers it for $230 without a contract.
