Motorola Droid RAZR gets special pre-order tactic
Verizon on Wednesday outlined a special strategy for pre-orders of the upcoming Motorola Droid RAZR. Its extra-thin Android option will be available to pre-order on Thursday from an uncharacteristically specific 8AM. All pre-orders should ship by November 10 at the latest.
The hardware costs $300 when paired with a two-year contract.
Outside of its camera, the Droid RAZR is one of the thinnest ever at 0.28 inches (7.1mm) and is unambiguously the thinnest-ever phone with LTE-based 4G inside. In spite of the dimensions, its use of a Kevlar back, stainless steel framing, and Gorilla Glass make it tougher than most thicker phones. It likewise manages longer battery life than most 4G phones, even with its dual-core 1.2GHz TI OMAP processor, helped in part by a greener 4.3-inch, 540x960 Super AMOLED display.
Other countries and carriers are known to be getting the phone under just the RAZR name, including Rogers in Canada.
