Samsung Exhibit II 4G official for T-Mobile

T-Mobile USA on Wednesday became one of the first carriers to pick up the Galaxy W. Rebadged as the Exhibit II 4G, it targets mid-range users with a 3.7-inch LCD and a single-core, 1GHz Snapdragon chip. Most of its cost-savings come through three-megapixel back and front VGA (0.3-megapixel) cameras, although it supports 14.4Mbps data.

Android 2.3 carries the modern Samsung TouchWiz interface as well as a handful of T-Mobile apps, such as T-Mobile TV.

The phone's highlight is poised to be its sales strategy. On October 27, it will be the first contract-free smartphone on its level to come to Walmart and will cost just $200 without having to commit to two years. T-Mobile stores themselves will pick up the phone on November 2 and sell it both on the same contract-free terms as well as for $30 on a two-year deal after including a $50 mail-in rebate.
