Tablet features brushed aluminum case
ASUS' Transformer Prime has surfaced in the wild, providing a closer look at the revamped design. The image leak shows what appears to be a brushed aluminum case surrounding the back of the tablet, with a matching aluminum keyboard dock. The notebook accessory is built with an island-style keyboard that resembles an 11-inch MacBook Air.
The amateur photos, which were posted by NotebookItalia, also show the tablet's Android unlock screen. Other apparent features include a microSD slot, HDMI output, and a rear camera with LED flash.
The successor to the original Transformer was teased earlier this month by ASUS CEO Jonney Shih, however the company has yet to announce full details surrounding the new device. The tablet is expected to be the first to arrive with NVIDIA's Tegra 3 components, taking advantage of a quad-core processor and pushing the battery life to a claimed 14.5 hours when used with the dock.
The company will make a formal introduction on November 9. The Transformer Prime is expected to cost $499.
