Compact design integrates dual drivers

Logitech has quietly introduced the Mini Boombox, a compact speaker accessory that can be connected to Bluetooth-equipped smartphones, tablets or other devices. The new model, which was briefly posted on Amazon before the listing was removed, serves as a pocket-size cousin to the company's larger Boombox speaker system.

The Mini variant integrates dual drivers for stereo sound, while an acoustic chamber is claimed to help increase bass response despite the small overall size. An internal battery is said to reach up to 10 hours of playback time, while a microphone enables the device to be used as a speakerphone accessory when connected to phones. Volume and playback controls are placed on a backlit touch panel for use in low light.

The Mini Boombox is expected to launch sometime in the near future for $100.
