Samsung Galaxy Nexus may hit Verizon after Black Friday

Galaxy Nexus sales focus won't start until Nov 28

An uncovered marketing focus memo has hinted that Verizon might not sell its version of the Galaxy Nexus until the end of November. The segment at Droid-Life showed the carrier only advertising the Android 4.0 phone on or around November 28, just after the Black Friday weekend following Thanksgiving. Other phones, including the iPhone 4S, Droid RAZR, and Rezound, either stop marketing then or overlap.

As it's ad campaigns and not release dates, the timing still leaves some room for the Galaxy Nexus to arrive earlier. It would be unusual for Verizon to launch one of its most important phones of the year before or during Black Friday, the most popular shopping day of the year, but not promote it until afterwards.

The run casts doubt on the Galaxy Nexus arriving in mid-November and also suggests it will launch during a very crowded environment, with ads for the iPhone, Droid RAZR, and other Samsung phones all running at the same time.
