Handset commands $250 after mail-in rebate

T-Mobile has announced that its subscribers will soon be able to purchase the BlackBerry Torch 9810. Despite the handset's availability for several months at competing carrier AT&T for just $50, the second-generation QWERTY slider is set to arrive at T-Mobile with a $300 price tag that bottoms out at $250 after a mail-in rebate.

The 9810 builds upon the original Torch 9800, adding BlackBerry OS 7 and a faster 1.2GHz processor. Other features include a 3.25-inch display with 360x480 resolution and a five-megapixel camera capable of recording 720p video.

T-Mobile promises to ship the 9810 on November 9, however pre-orders are already being taken.
