Comics to arrive on mobile apps without delay

Marvel is reportedly preparing to offer its entire range of comics through its mobile apps on the same day as each title hits store shelves in print form. The publisher is said to be rolling out the same-day availability over the course of the next several months, eventually covering all titles except for content licensed from third parties, according to a Gizmodo report.

The move will bring Marvel up to speed with its competition, as DC began releasing its print and digital versions on the same day earlier this year. Other major comics to follow the same route include DC's Vertigo brand and Image.

Marvel is expected to finish its transition by March 2012.
