Nook Color, Nook Simple Touch coming to retailer

(Update: TigerDirect too) Fry’s Electronics said on Friday that it would carry the former's Nook products in November. The companies specifically name the Nook Color and Simple Touch, while omitting the Nook Tablet, though it's expected to be unveiled on November 7. Fry's operates 34 stores in nine states.

Once the Nook Tablet gets an official release, it may also be sold at Fry's. The device will have a highly-customized Android interface and use a 1.2GHz TI OMAP processor along with 1GB of RAM. These mirror those of the Motorola Xoom, along with 16GB of built-in storage and a microSDHC card slot.

Barnes & Noble sells Nooks on its own website, Best Buy and Target stores as well as Amazon and other retailers.

Update: TigerDirect and its reborn CompUSA retail shops will also have the Nook Color and Nook Simple Touch, starting in December.
