Sony preps 720p OLED display for cameras

Sony is prepping a 720p display that is just 0.7-inch across. It uses OLED technology and offers a native resolution of 1280x720, while it is intended for use in electronic viewfinder applications such as cameras.

The display boasts technical specifications that would not be out of place on a much larger display. It delivers 97 percent NTSC color gamut and has a 0.01 milisecond response time. It offers brightness levels of 200 cd/m2 and uses the same while OLED and color filter architecture Sony already employs in its A77 and A65 DSLRs, as well as the NEX-7 and the NEX-5N.
