Toshiba Portege Z835 launches as Best Buy exclusive

Z830 ultrabook variant drops in at below $1,000
The Toshiba Portege Z830 series of ultrabooks is coming to Best Buy. An Intel Core i3-based version will be sold as an exclusive, available only though the national retailer. It will be priced at $899, $400 less than the category benchmark, the MacBook Air.
Toshiba launched the Z830 series in September. Sporting a 13-inch backlit LED display and a backlit keyboard, it weighs in at only 2.45 pounds and is 0.63 inches or less thick. The case is a honeycombed magnesium alloy design with both USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports. Storage ideally comes from, but isn't limited to, solid-state drives.
The Best Buy-specific Z835 comes with a gunmetal gray, brushed metal lid and deck. It 's fitted with a 1.4GHz Intel Core i3 and its matching integrated Intel HD graphics. Storage is a 128GB SD.
The Portege Z835 should be available online and on Best Buy retail shelves shortly. [via Laptop]
