AT&T to soon get Optimus LTE as the Nitro HD
The LG Optimus LTE smartphone has now arrived at Bell in Canada, and PocketNow is now reporting that it will soon arrive at AT&T in the US. It will be known as the Nitro HD, but otherwise share the same hardware. These include the dual-core, 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor, the eight-megapixel camera and its namesake 4G network support.
Its 4.5-inch screen is its signature feature outside of the LTE, with a 720p native resolution making it one of the sharper designs. It comes with 1GB of RAM onboard, along with 4GB of storage space supplemented by a microSD expansion slot. Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi are present, while the battery is rated at a large 1,830mAh.
The screen resolution won't make it the first US phone with a 720p resolution, as the HTC Rezound is already coming while the Galaxy Nexus is due later this month, and perhaps as early as next week. Unlike that phone, however, it won't sport Android 4.0, making do with Android 2.3 instead.
