Images of ill-fated 7-inch slate surface

When HP launched its ill-fated ten-inch TouchPad tablet, it had a smaller seven-inch slate, the TouchPad Go, following in the wings. Although that smaller tablet never made it to market, Palmjoy has posted some images of the ill-fated device. It appears to be a near-literal shrinking of the regular TouchPad with a 4:3 ratio display.

The 3G-capable Go was reported to come with a 1024x768 touchscreen, a 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor, 16GB of storage space, front and rear cameras, and an NFC module.

The Go made it as far as the FCC, but no further. Allegedly, HP might have stuck its suppliers with enough inventory of components to build 100,000 TouchPad Gos.
