Samsung Galaxy Nexus at Verizon possibly delayed to December

updated 07:50 pm EST, Mon November 14, 2011

Latest rumor contradicts early leaks

Samsung's Galaxy Nexus handset may not be headed to Verizon until sometime in December, according to an unconfirmed rumor. Unnamed sources have told Droid-Life to flagship Android phone is still undergoing testing at Verizon. The delay is said to be related to several bugs that need to be worked out before launch.

If true, a December release at Verizon may fall closer to the device's ship date at Canadian carriers Bell and Virgin Mobile. Both companies have confirmed plans to release the device in early December, despite initial expectations of a Canadian launch in November.

Earlier reports suggested the device would arrive at US carriers as early as this week, however Verizon has yet to officially confirm the launch date. A well-known source of Verizon information, who goes by the Twitter handle black_man_x, suggests he cannot confirm the December rumor, though Samsung reportedly readied the devices on time.
