doubleTwist gets major revamp

The team at doubleTwist have released a major update for their music playing app for Android. The new version of the app brings a major overhaul to the user interface as well as a host of new features. Among them is a 'premium' equalizer, however, this function will only work with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) devices.

The development team has crafted a new homescreen design that is easier to navigate, as well as a new playback screen that includes a 'sneak peak' cover view. The settings have also been redesigned with improved groupings. Another visual enhancement that takes advantage of a user's cover art is a new grid view for albums.

Users can now also choose where they want their music saved, either to internal memory or external. This can be chosen for Airsyncing. Support for Apple's AirPlay protocol is also included with doubleTwist offering users the ability to stream video that works with the latest update to Apple TV 2.
