Handheld racing wheel controller made for sims
PC gaming peripherals maker SteelSeries has teamed up with games developer Ignite Game Technologies to bring out the Simraceway SRW-S1 steering wheel controller, optimized for the game Simraceway. The wheel is unique, as it doesn't include pedals and is only ever handheld. The throttle and brake are located on paddles much like paddle shifters might, while a motion sensor controls the steering wheel angle.
Steelseries said the wheel is compatible with nearly all PC racing games on the market. As it was designed to work with Simraceway, it's fully compatible right out of the box.
The wheel is fully customizable for deeper racing simulations and has more than 20 buttons and dials for adjusting parameters such as brake bias, the amount of steering lock, driver aids, clutch take-up, and more. It has a progressive shift light to indicate engine speeds as well.
The SRW-S1 wheel is now shipping for $120.
