Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus reaches FCC with AT&T, Canada-ready 3G

Provides connectivity to cellular data networks
Samsung has submitted a cellular-enabled Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus to the FCC for regulatory approval. This new seven-inch tablet features support for the HSPA+ 3G cellular data standard, like the T-Mobile version, but on the 850MHz and 1,900MHz bands used by AT&T and major Canadian carriers. As such, it might be destined either for AT&T or for Bell, Rogers, or Telus.
A Wi-Fi version of the tablet began appearing in stores earlier this month.
Both 3G and Wi-Fi tablets come with Android 3.2 installed with Samsung's own TouchWiz interface on top. It runs on a relatively quick dual-core 1.2GHz processor and has two cameras, a three-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and flash, and an ornament-free, front-facing two-megapixel camera.
The 16GB Wi-Fi version sells for $400. A 32GB variant is expected early next year for $500. It's not known how an AT&T or Canadian version would be priced, although T-Mobile sells its version for $250 on a contract. [via Engadget]
