10 devices part of the promotion

Microsoft is trying to persuade perspective phone buyers to purchase a Windows Phone instead of one running Android or iOS this holiday season. The company is offering anyone who buys a selected Windows Phone a $25 prepaid gift card good towards apps or games. The promotion runs through December 31.

In all, there are ten devices eligible for the promotion. AT&T subscribers can buy the HTC Titan or the Samsung Focus, Focus Flash, or Focus S. Sprint's eligible phone is the HTC Arrive. The HTC HD7 and Radar 4G qualify with T-Mobile. With Verizon, the HTC Trophy, its only Windows Phone, qualifies.

The Nokia Lumia 710 and Lumia 800 are also part of the promotion, although specific carriers have not been identified.
