ThinkPad with 3G radio spotted at FCC, coming?

Lenovo's ThinkPad Tablet has now been spotted with a 3G version and the Wi-Fi model undergoing testing at the FCC. The documents in the former listing show GSM 850/1,900, EVDO 850/1,900 and WCDMA bands II, IV and V frequency support. These correspond to carriers such as AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile as well as some overseas.

Compal, the OEM manufacturer of tablets for companies that contract it to do so, submitted the filings. While the FCC listings mean the tablets are technically approved and meet US regulations for sale, they don't guarantee that the tablets will be sold in the US, as that remains the company's decision.

The ThinkPad tablet uses a Tegra 2 processor and a 10.1-inch, 1280x800 screen, along with Android 3.1. It has 1GB of RAM, HDMI, Wi-Fi and a five-megapixel rear camera and two-megapixel front camera. The Wi-Fi model is offered in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities, priced at between $500 and $700. [via WirelessGoodness]
