Latest Droid said to be slated for December 8

Motorola has reportedly chosen to launch the Droid 4 on December 8, coinciding with the rumored release date of Samsung's Galaxy Nexus. A leaked Verizon memo appears to show the Nexus and the Droid 4 slated for December 8, though the ship date for Motorola's handset has yet to be corroborated by separate reports.

The Droid 4 is expected to offer a four-inch Super AMOLED Advanced display, slightly smaller than the Razr's 4.3-inch panel that uses the same technology. The housing also takes its overall shape from the Razr, except for the five-row sliding keyboard. Other features are said to include dual cameras, HDMI output and 1080p video recording.

Samsung recently admitted that the Galaxy Nexus was delayed until December on Verizon. The company has yet to announce a specific launch date, however the device was confirmed for the 8th in Canada; availability is expected to be simultaneous in both countries. [via Droid-Life]
