LG hints Prada K2 due soon

LG gave clues that the Prada K2 was coming soon by sending out a teaser image and early details. Now called hte Prada phone by LG 3.0, the device was shown in sketches with at least a slightly different design than what has leaked out in product renders. Its shape is dominated by the screen and moves the speaker to the top edge, and a slim design recalls the top side of an iPod nano with what looks to be semi-hidden speakers on a textured back.

If the hardware lines up with rumors, it would have a second-generation, 4.3-inch Nova screen that would peak at a very bright 1,000 nits. A dual-core processor of an unknown make would be joined by an eight-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel camera at the front. When last leaked, it was slated to come with Android 2.3, although it might be open to Android 4.0 depending on the timing.

The two companies promised that the 3.0 would arrive in early 2012 and, with the new phone, were renewing an exclusive agreement for LG to make Prada-branded cellphones. Both have been together since 2007, when the first Prada phone was introduced as a basic touchscreen phone just a month after the original iPhone.
