Limited stock of the GSM 16GB version available
An unlocked version of the Google Samsung Galaxy Nexus is now available in the US. Importer and online retailer Expansys has a limited stock of the 16GB, unlocked GSM model available for $750. The earliest that the phone is expected through any US carrier is Verizon, which may begin shipping on December 8.
The Nexus is the first smartphone to ship with Android 4.0. It centers on a very dense 4.65-inch, 720p display, a dual core 1.2GHz processor with optimization in the OS, a quick five-megapixel rear facing camera, and 1080p video capture.
Although Expansys is offering the 16GB version, it still lists the 32GB version only as available for pre-sale. No price has been given for the larger-capacity model.
There is also no indication from Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile if or when they might begin offering the device.
