LG, Sony Ericsson anticipate Android 4.0 upgrades

LG, Sony Ericsson reveal more Android 4 info


LG on its Facebook page revealed which of its smartphones will be the first to get an official update to Android 4.0. They include the Optimus 2X and Optimus Black, the Optimus 3D, and the Optimus LTE. More details on the upgrade, including a schedule, will be announced in December. LG will also evaluate other smartphones in time.

Sony Ericsson at the same time gave a better indication of when its Xperia devices will get the promised update. Also thanks to a post on Facebook, Marketing Manager Maurizio de Palma revealed that Android 4.0 should arrive in March, PocketNow learned. Sony Ericsson plans to support most any Xperia device released through 2011.
