Updates 3-in-1 with faster i5 processor & video

Gigabyte has released an updated version of its signature convertible tablet. The T1132 features a rotating docking station and swiveling display that enables it to serve act as a notebook, tablet, or desktop. Driving the device is an Intel 1.6GHz processor that keeps it up to speed with newer ultraportables.

The T1132 is an update to the T1125, which the company launched last November. This newer model updates the processor from an Intel Core 1.33GHz i3-380UM or i5-470UM. The chipset has been upgraded to an Intel HM65 Express, and the discrete video chipset is now an NVIDIA GeForce GT 520M instead of the older GeForce 410M. The T1132 still shares a 11.6-inch 1366x768 multi-touch, LED-backlight display and four two-watt speakers. The SATA hard drive can be as large as 750GB. As with the T1125, this newer model doesn't sport an internal optical drive, but rather relies on an optional one that plugs into the included docking station.

Gigabyte has not announced pricing, but the T1125 was priced around $1,300 at launch. To help announce the arrival of the T1132, Gigabyte is giving away one or more through a contest on its Facebook page.
