Lenovo LePad S2 shows up in Beijing with Android

The Lenovo LePad S2 smartphone leaked exactly a month ago has now shown up as a product launch again in Beijing, with Engadget on-hand. This time, however, a customized Android 2.3.4 is onboard rather than Windows Phone 7.5. Hardware specs include a 3.8-inch, 800x480 touchscreen and a single-core, 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 processor.

The phone will be available in two models, one with 512MB of RAM and 8GB of storage space and another with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of memory. Memory card slots aren't available in either, and the phones will differ slightly in appearance. There is an eight-megapixel CMOS camera capable of shooting 720p video, and the 10.9mm thick body weighs 120 grams, or 45 less than before.

Key details, such as prices or ship dates in China, haven't yet been revealed.
