Fujitsu unveils a super thin Android smartphone
Japan’s KDDI has announced the Fujitsu Arrows ES IS12F that measures in at just 6.7mm at its thinnest point, and 8.5mm at its thickest. The Arrow also only weighs 105 grams despite being fitted with a 4-inch (480x800) AMOLED display. This makes the device thinner than the Motorola RAZR and lighter than the Samsung Galaxy S II.
The device is powered by a single-core Qualcomm Snapdragon (MSM8655) processor, however, as Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) only fully supports single-core processors, its high clock speed should ensure solid performance. On its rear is a five-megapixel AF-type, but is also running image stabilization software to enhance image quality.
To date, Fujitsu has not announced any plans for shipping the device into international markets.
