Touch cross-platform communication app launched

Enflick, developers of the cross-platform PingChat! IM app and TextNow, has now launched an app simply dubbed Touch. It can be downloaded on its own, or existing PingChat! users can upgrade to it and retain their existing contacts. The app is available for iOS, Android, and BlackBerry devices.

The chat app lets users pick and set groups of recipients for sharing content. It shows when a message is being typed and push-like notifications inform senders of when their messages are read, like on BBM or iMessage.

New recipients can be added to ongoing chats and a profile page can be created for a particular experience and shared with different groups.
