Loud dock carries 4-foot by 8-foot form factor

Behringer, the professional audio specialist will be rolling out a new consumer product line at the upcoming CES 2012 show. To draw attention to the launch, the company will be demonstrating the iNuke Boom, a 10,000-watt iPhone and iPod docking system. The larger than average iBoom weighs in 700 pounds and has a footprint that is eight feet wide and four feet high.

The Eurosound product line targets the consumer market with products rooted in Behringer's professional audio engineering origins. There will be four branches under the Eurosound branding. The Home line is an effort to offer live concert sounds into a listener's home. Live products will provide amplification. Portable products will deliver a mobile audio experience, and the Creation line targets musicians.

Behringer has not released any details on its Eurosound products, but the iNuke Boom is priced at $30,000.

Holy cr_p! This looks like an april fools joke. What kind of club is going to invest in a sound system like this for the sole purpose of plugging an iPod into it?

    Looks very practical

How do you power that thing?
Standard outlets provide 1,700 watts. Even if the 10,000 watts is exaggerated and "peak", it would still need serious wiring just to plug it in.
And the iPod needs a seat belt.

    Garbage

Behringer products are generally considered the garbage of the pro audio industry. They are well known to essentially knock off other manufacturer's designs, using cheaper components and inflated specs.

    cool

Not a joke. They'll use it to show-off at trade shows. Dance clubs aren't going to buy this. It's just for show. I don't think you'll see a shipping iNuke Boom - well, they might make a few to sell to rich people who want one, just because...

10,000 watts is going to be a peak power rating. Providing electricity to it isn't that hard. Pro Audio products have to do this all the time. How do you think they power all those speakers at concerts? A single 240v 40a connection (basic twist-loc plug) would power this thing just fine.
