Nokia enhances Maps 3D with search, share, more
Nokia has now enhanced its web-based Nokia Maps 3D with the ability to search for attractions, restaurants and shops and get navigation guidance in 3D. Introduced back in April, the photorealistic 3D views are only available in the 25 major cities supported by the software. The search field will let users quickly find addresses, businesses and points of interest.
Along with the location's photo, the search will return business hours, reviews, specials, and ratings, where applicable. Once a place is found, users can also quickly plot directions, in either 3D or 2D, which could be switched between quickly. Users can also quickly share a place or route through e-mail, Facebook or Twitter.
