Nokia Lumia 900 identified in news app

Nokia's possibly already leaked Lumia 900 gained much more credence after the Times of India's news app's user logs showed the unannounced phone. It's expected to be Nokia's best phone, WMPowerUser said, with at least a 4.3-inch AMOLED screen, HSPA+ 3G, an eight-megapixel camera, and at least 16GB or as much as 32GB of built-in storage. Rumors have linked it to AT&T and possibly LTE for an early 2012 launch, although these haven't been corroborated with hard evidence so far.

A lone reference also exists to the Champagne, although the device itself isn't known. It may be an early form of the Lumia 900 or another phone entirely.

Looking at individual version logs has also shown builds of Tango, the next and possibly last significant milestone release for Windows Phone 7. A build 8725 version has shown up that's significantly ahead of any other Tango test version, the most recent of which was 8104 before now. It suggests Microsoft has progressed considerably with the OS and may be comparatively close to a release.

Tango may be released in two phases early into 2012 and could also help explain the difference. One would primarily be to accommodate more of Nokia's hardware demands, including for cheaper phones, while another would focus more on features like those that were seen in the NoDo update early this year.
