Super Talent ships its fastest SSDs to date


Flash memory maker Super Talent has now released its fastest range of SSDs thus far, with the 2.5-inch, SATA3-equipped TeraNova. All of the MLC drives get a fast SandForce 2200 controller with unique firmware. The drives are available in 64-, 120-, 240-, and 480GB capacities.

All four get 540MBps read speeds while the smallest one can write at 490MBps, the 120GB one at 510MBps, the 240GB model at 520MBps, and the 480GB at 480MBps. They cost $109, $179, $365 and $920, respectively and are now shipping.
