Sony Ericsson Nozomi may be called Xperia Arc HD

Sony Ericsson's upcoming flagship phone, the Nozomi, has now been spotted once more in photos shared by GSM Arena. It is expected to be officially launched at CES, where it will likely carry a different name, likely to be Xperia Arc HD. The photos reveal that the battery probably isn't user-removable and that it uses a micro SIM card slot like the iPhone 4S or the Motorola Droid RAZR.

Other specs of the device include a 4.3-inch touchscreen with a 720p resolution, a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, a 12-megapixel rear camera with a dedicated button, and either 16GB or 32GB of storage. No expansion memory card slot is present, however. An HDMI output is also present, as is a front-facing camera. Android 2.3.5 may ship in spite of 4.0 being ready, partly so Sony Ericsson can fit an updated version of its Timescape layer.

Whether the matte finish of the body makes it into the production version remains to be seen.
