Googel Chrome 16 final arrives with multi-user sign-ins

Chrome 16 ready with multiple accounts

Google kept up its development track by posting the finished, stable version of Chrome 16. The release centers on the multiple account support from the beta and lets more than one user share the same browser. Bookmarks, extensions, web apps, and more will carry over from device to device.

The sign-in also helps provide a backup for basic web information and for portability to other device types, such as a Chromebook or an Android 4.0 phone.

Linux, Mac, and Windows users can all download Chrome 16 immediately. Google is still holding to its accelerated, usually six-week cycle and could have Chrome 17, primarily a JavaScript speed update, available at or near late January or early February.

    Version numbers ....

These guys are just being ridiculous .... every new update jumps a major revision !!! I think people should always take Google Chrome's version number and divide by 10, which would get you a "normal" version number. Firefox is following this stupidity as well.
