AMD Radeon HD 7970 specs leaked early

More information on AMD's upcoming Radeon HD 7900-series graphics cards and the HD 7970 model in particular, have appeared online, thanks to OBR-Hardware. The new slide reveals a compute power of 3.5 teraflops and a 925MHz core clock speed. The 2,048 shader processors seen here confirm an earlier report as well.

There is 3GB of GDDR5 memory and it gets a 384-bit memory bus with 5.5Gbps of bandwidth.

Some of the cards are expected to arrive in stores in January, with the 7990 due later in March. It's widely expected that the cards will be officially unveiled at the CES show in January, but the latest rumors have an unveiling on December 22.
