Droid RAZR Maxx shows up in Verizon system

An upcoming new Motorola smartphone called the Droid RAZR Maxx is nearing release, as yet another indication of its existence has been leaked, Droid-Life found. First spotted in EXIF photo data as the RAZRMax, though it has now shown up in a Verizon system as the Droid RAZR Maxx, in line with the naming scheme Motorola used years ago for its flip phone. The December 15 date isn't a shipping date, however.

Specs can only be guessed at thus far, though the name suggests a large touchscreen and perhaps even an LTE radio. Earlier reports also pegged it at a higher-capacity battery, which would make it ideal to support 4G. The current Droid RAZR has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen and a dual-core, 1.2GHz processor, so the Maxx should get at least the same, if not better, respective features.
