HTC Elite, Windows Phone handset due in 2012

HTC will focus on quality rather than quantity in 2012, BGR claimed to have learned Monday. As such, there will be less handsets from the company next year, and the release schedule will be nearly non-existent for the first quarter. One of these upcoming quality phones that could be the company's flagship is the HTC Elite, reportedly due out early in April.

It should have Android 4.0 preloaded and have Beats Audio branding as well. AT&T would carry the phone and may call it the HTC Congressional.

Also, the company is said to be releasing the first Windows Phone with an LTE radio at AT&T. The name of the device isn't yet known, but it will reportedly get a 4.7-inch display. If real, it's expected to be shown off at CES and get a shipping date of February 5. Photos of either handset aren't yet available.
