Verizon readies software update for Droid RAZR

Verizon has detailed a new software update (PDF) for the Motorola Droid RAZR. A number of bugs will be addressed with this software, including the SIM Error notification and better stability in menus, the browser, the phone dialer, video playback and the music player to cut down on the Force Close errors and freezes. The camera's features and quality have also been addressed.

Group messaging notifications have likewise been updated, and the 3G/4G data connection is now said to be better as well. When completing a voice call, network connection is maintained. Finally, the update will change the background color to make the user interface more legible when the phone is in its Lapdock mode.

Despite the document, it remains unknown when Verizon plans to begin pushing out the update to Droid RAZR users.
