Super Bowl leaves TV-only limits
The NFL on Tuesday dropped a longstanding barrier and said it would stream the Super Bowl, and the Pro Bowl, online. Both its own site and NBC's will provide the games alongside Verizon's NFL Mobile apps for the iPad and iPhone (free, App Store) and Android (free, Android Market). Either version will be an improvement on the TV version, with multiple camera angles, highlights, and live stats.
Both desktop and mobile versions will supply the games for free, although the NFL Mobile app needs Verizon access to work.
NBC had already provided Sunday Night Football access both on the web and on NFL Mobile, but until now it and previous broadcasters couldn't show the most crucial games outside of TV. Internet access shows both confidence that ads can be effective online and acknowledges that some of its audience, mostly younger watchers, might be "cord-cutters" who would turn to a bootleg stream rather than leave home to watch.

Apple TV?
Does anyone know if it might be available via Apple TV too?
