Wahoo Blue HR monitor syncs with iPhone 4S

Wahoo Fitness has revealed some early details on its Blue HR smart heart rate monitor that pairs to smartphones using Bluetooth. It will officially be unveiled at CES, and will pair with Bluetooth smartphones and works natively with the iPhone 4S and its Bluetooth 4.0 support. It works with any health app and shows real-time heart rate readings.

The monitor is waterproof at up to five feet. The app store has five compatible apps, including MapMyFitness, RunKeeper, 321Run, Runmeter, and MotionX, with more due next year.

The heart rate monitor is priced at $80 and includes a strap.
