Sony tips Android 4 upgrade for Tablet S users
Sony UK promised owners of the Tablet S an upgrade to Android 4.0. The company didn't say when the upgrade was coming other than "soon." Most companies vowing 4.0 upgrades are expecting it in early 2012.
The upgrade will give both the freshened interface as well as extras like Face Unlock. Android 4.0 isn't as dramatic an upgrade for tablet owners as it is on phones, but includes the more refined notifications and multitasking, keyboard, data usage, and other features. Sony's Tablet S doesn't have NFC and won't have Android Beam as a result.
