App works on all Android phones

Unofficial developers have extracted Motorola's MOTOACTV app for Android devices, enabling the utility to be installed on hardware that is not produced by Motorola. The app was initially introduced alongside the tiny MOTOACTV module, which sits atop a wristwatch accessory or other mounting options, however the company only offered the companion app for its own Android handsets.

The app allows users to pair the MOTOACTV hardware with any Android phone to receive calls, texts and calendar notifications during a workout. The app also provides workout data and syncs with a user's web-based account.

The unofficial release is available from XDA-Developers. [via Droid-Life]
