Modded GameCube available on eBay for $950

A modder who calls himself Slipstream has breathed new life into the 10-year old GameCube home console from Nintendo through a portable hack. He calls his creation the Sly Cube, and it includes a seven-inch LCD flip screen. The integrated 7.2V, 600mAH battery is said to provide between three and four hours of play time.

A controller complete with rumble function is built in, but four ports exist for adding corded gamepads as well. Audio and video outputs let users connect the console to a larger TV, and the memory card slots are still present.

The customized console is now available to purchase through eBay (link above), priced at a high $950, though the auction started $100 lower. [via UberGizmo]
