Photon 100 Windows 7 pro tablet due in February

A Taiwanese smartphone app developer called Bungbungame has unveiled a new tablet dubbed the Photon 100, DigiTimes reported. The tablet is meant for business use only, however, including at restaurants, hotels, insurance companies and for medical care. It runs on Windows 7 Home Premium and packs a dual-core, 1GHz AMD Z01 processor into its 10.1-inch form factor.

There is also 4GB of RAM and a 64GB solid state drive onboard. The tablet weighs 1.8lbs.

Askey computer manufactures the tablet for Bungbungame. The company created the tablet after its clients complained the apps they use aren't well-suited for existing tablet PCs.

Bungbungame has already received as many as 8,000 orders for the tablet and will release it in February, priced at the equivalent of $662. The tablet will be shown off at CES in mid-January as well.
