Samsung Galaxy S III test photo leaked online?

A photo said to have been taken by the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S III has shown up on the web and shared by PocketNow. The EXIF data of the image reveals model number GT-i9500, the highest numerical value for the model numbers used for the Galaxy-series handsets (the Galaxy Nexus has a GT-i9250 model label). The person who took the image is also said to be the same one that tested a Galaxy S II back in January.

The resolution was likely dialed back, however, as the image was shot at just five megapixels. The aperture was set at 2.65 and a four millimeter focal length was used. The EXIF data also shows that the image was taken in Suwon, South Korea, which is home to a Samsung factory. The full-sized original measures in at 2560x1920.

The handset is likely to be officially announced at the Mobile World Congress show in February and ship sometime in the spring.
