SuperTalent outs external Storage POD Mini SSD

Flash storage maker Super Talent Technology on Friday unveiled its latest product, the portable Storage POD Mini. The drive uses USB 3.0 and flash memory to make it no bigger than an internal 2.5-inch hard drive. It uses a SandForce SSD processor and reaches 260MBps read speeds as well as peak write speeds of 174MBps.

A One-Touch Backup button lets users copy their pre-determined folders onto the drive quickly. A protection switch keeps unintentional erasure of files.

The drive is available in 60GB, 120GB and 240GB capacities, though prices haven't been revealed.
