Fujifilm intros five new point-and-shoot cameras
Fujifilm on Thursday introduced five new entry-level FinePix cameras, including the JZ250 and JZ100, the JX580 and JX500, and the AX550. The two JZ cameras get 8x zoom lenses, 720p movie recording capabilities, and optical image stabilization. The JZ250 alone uses a 16-megapixel sensor and a three-inch LCD, while the JZ100 gets a 14-megapixel sensor and a 2.7-inch LCD.
The JX500, JX580, and AX550 get a 5X zoom lens and 720p movie recording. The 16-megapixel JX580 has a three-inch LCD, while the 14-megapixel JX500 has a 2.7-inch screen. The JX500 is powered by a lithium-ion battery, but the AX550 uses two AA batteries.
The black-only JZ250 will cost $150 while the JZ100 will be priced at $130 when they ship in March. The FinePix JX580 and JX500 ship in February in black, red and blue for $120 and $100, respectively, while the AX550 ships in March in black only for $90.
