Fujifilm has introduced updated versions of its HS-Series of superzoom cameras. Headlining the updates to the FinePix HS25EXR and HS30EXR is a new 30x optical zoom lens. The new lens covers focal lengths from a 24-720mm in a new design that is said to be easier to manually control.

In super macro mode, users can also shoot images as close as 1cm, while digital zoom with double the optical zoom by 2x, taking it to 60x. The cameras can also shoot video in 1080p at 30fps, but also shoot stills at 8fps at 16-megapixels.

At the heart of the HS25EXR and the HS30EXR is a new dual-core processor EXR processor. It enables a faster stat-up, quicker focusing and a reduction in writing time after burst shooting. The chip as incorporates a Vector Graphics Accelerator for displaying sharper information readouts from the graphical user interface when viewed on an HD TV.
