Logitech Cube does double duty as mouse, presenter

Logitech has introduced the Cube for Mac or PC, combining some of the functions of a mouse with a presenter. The device is not much larger than a Zippo lighter, and will fit comfortably in a shirt pocket. In mouse mode, a user can use swipe gestures across its main panel to scroll down a slide using Logitech’s FlowScroll tech.

When lifted into the air, the Cube switches to presenter mode. Users can simply click the device to move forward in a presentation, or turn it over and click again to go backwards.

The Cube connects wirelessly to a user’s Mac or PC using Logitech’s Unifying receiver (which can handle up to six devices at once). It is powered by a built-in rechargeable Li-Po battery and incorporates a warning light when it needs recharging.

The Logitech Cube ships in January for $70.

    not bluetooth

Meaning you have to worry about a dongle. No matter how small, its an inconvenience. And the pricepoint is a bit high. $40 sounds about right.
